  2. This has to be a teenager's top 10 best looking tanks list...
Sure the WZ-123 is a great tank, but it certainly isn't the best, the Merkava, Leclerc and Leopard are just a cut above, and that's why they cost more than twice the price.
I'm also surprised not to see the K2 Black Panther, which is pretty much a Leclerc on steroids (not as agile and slower autoloader but this one can shoot a tank 8 kilometers away)

    1. Twice the cost does not justify the performance of the tank at all. All of them have only the 120mm cannon compared to the 125mm on MBT-99. Also, Merkava has got super heavy armor so it weighs 65 tons and the heaviest MBT-99 is about 58 tons. How is that a cut above, in like what sense? just the price? lol

    2. Mostly true... especially the T90 MC, it is way over advertised. It is like what you said about the Chinese VT-4, and truly it is way less effective than their own type 96 b. These tanks are just some trading adaptions anyways.
However, Challenger 2 really has a chance to be the top 5 though. Regardless of cost, Merkava, Leclerc and Armata are really good though, and these tanks are generally equipped with dual-functional APS system, which is more effective than cage and ERA of earlier type 99 in terms of missiles.
Interestingly, If you put the ability of launching missiles and profile level as criteria, even the North Korean tank PokPung Ho wouldn't be too bad.
