A short-range ballistic missile was fired Wednesday inside Syria after similar launches last week, an official said Thursday NATO. "We detected the launch of a ballistic missile yesterday unguided short-range inside Syria. This follows similar launches on 2 and 3 January," the official said. "All missiles were fired from inside Syria and they hit northern Syria," he said. Description of Scud missiles may correspond to used in the Syrian army, but the official said that NATO could not confirm the type of missile used.
