Towards a Franco-German mergers in torpedoes

France and Germany are discussing a possible merger of their respective capabilities in the field of torpedoes. They hope to make an announcement before the end of this year.

Patrick Boissier, DCNS CEO, revealed this information last Tuesday during a speech at the University of defense was to Brest.

The idea, he explained, would be to establish a joint company owned equally by France and Germany.

This possible pooling is certainly not the level of the possible mega-merger between giant EADS and BAE Systems, announced Wednesday, but it is not nothing.
