The helicopter Eurocopter announced today that it delivered to the UK Ministry of Defence the first copy of the Puma HC1 helicopter modernization, Puma Mk2. The service life of 24 Puma Royal Air Force will be extended until 2025 with modernization.
Changes to the device include new Makila 1A1 engines, integrating a full glass cockpit with avionics and a modernized management system optimized navigation, the establishment of a system of digital flight controls and automatic, and the incorporation of a secure communication system and protective and defensive anti-ballistic additional people on
board. Modernized copies will be able to carry twice the payload to a range three times greater.
