Anti-armor missile 9M119 Svir (Russian)

The 9M119 missile Svir/9M119M Refleks is an anti-armor guided laser developed in the former Soviet Union. The missiles are similar but their efficacy varies, being in effect until the first 10.2 kilometers and the second up to 14.2 miles, equipped with their respective launch pad. These can be actuated so as from a launcher tube as the standard caliber guns 100 or 125 mm. His name is NATO code AT-11 Sniper. The name comes from the river Svir Svir, while Refleks means reflection. A freeware version is also built in China and North Korea.
In the design and subsequent construction special attention was given immunity to the action of countermeasures systems and noise emitted from the rocket and its possible use in various weather conditions. The two missile warheads, both loads and in tandem shaped charge projectiles are composed of 2 lengths (the warhead and the main driver). The load "Leader" is designed to destroy the shields and armor blocks reagent added. The base load capacity provides sufficient penetration for both the basic framework and for the destruction of equipment for added protection. To attack the infantry, buildings and light armored vehicles has developed a version of the missile equipped with a thermobaric head.
During its operating life missiles require no maintenance other than frequent inspection of their condition and from the time of unpacking, it is ready for combat. The trajectory of its flight, which is spiral-makes its penetration is increased compared with conventional missiles.

The missiles 9M119M "Invar" and 9M119M1 "Invar-M" solid propellant, are used in the aerodynamic configuration in which they fit a "duck wings." The design office conducted missile and specifically the inclusion of a guidance system and semi-automatic, by means of a laser beam, and the other by means of a support using a radar.
Among the standard Russian antitank missiles, the missile 9M119M "Invar" was adopted in 1992, and the rocket 9M119M1 "Invar-M" would be commissioned in the second half of the decade of the 1990s.
Use in defining the threshold for opening fire stop. In these calculations the ironclad is forced to move to make use of this missile being possible to swing it under enemy fire, in fact, before the shot is to become a moving target easier to hit, as must be disadvantageously semi-static position to shoot.
Given that the maximum range of firearms caliber 120 mm., Depending on the use of conventional missile (piercing or cumulative) is estimated at about 2000 meters, the use of the missile complex "Refleks" gives a nearly two miles at a time when the ammunition is fired in an order of time of 3-5 minutes.
During this time, each tank has time to launch missiles from 5 to 10, taking into account the time needed to launch and hit the target.
Models made from computers, where they simulate actual combat conditions between T-90 tanks and M1A1 "Abrams" (where each side has 10 tanks), it was shown that long-distance successes of missiles fired from the barrel of the first was destroyed up to 50-60% of M1A1 tanks deployed.
In addition, guided missiles "Refleks / Invar-M" are an effective weapon against helicopters pose a serious threat to armored units. In this height range of up to 5 kilometers to allow them to be used against helicopters in flight razante, or even to bring down enemy missiles (like TOW, which are fired from a distance of less than 4 km) before its entry into the fire zone effective.
