Fifth Type 056 Chinese Corvette class launched at Shanghai shipyard

On August 19, 2012 the Hudong Shipyard in Shanghai (part of the China state shipbuilding corporation - CSSC) launched its second Type 056 corvette.

This is the fifth corvette of this type launched in a little over 3 months.

Since the launch of the first Type 056 three more were launched at vrarious shipyars: One in Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuiding Company on July 3, another at Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Company in Wuhan on
August 3 and another one in august in a small shipbuilding and ship-repair yard in Dalian.
